Hellingly – Park Wood 1.7m

A charming woodland walk, heaving with bluebells and wildflowers in the Spring, and showcasing an array of colourful fungi in the Autumn. A variety of habitats, mature trees, streams and ghylls, lots of birdsong and glimpses of wildlife.

There are several very clearly marked colour-coded trails you can follow, this one is mostly the red route with a little bit of blue at the top to include the pond. Watch out in winter, it can be VERY muddy.

Free on site car park, recently resurfaced.

This is very close to the Hellingly Country Park walk so pop round there too if you have time and fancy a contrast – a beautiful park with lovely views, vintage trees, delightful pond, plenty of benches and some excellent children’s play equipment.
